The Amoebe lounge chair was designed in 1970 by Verner Panton.
The Amoebe lounge chair is a great eye-catcher for your living room and reflects the zeitgeist of the 1970s. The Amoeba by Vitra was originally designed for Verner Panton's famous Visiona installation. With this exhibition, Panton let go of all traditional concepts of interior and architecture and surprised visitors with his 'living cave' made of textiles. Later on, various designs were produced in modified form from this exhibition for the general public, including the Amoebe. which is particularly comfortable thanks to a flexible backrest.
