This graceful and slender penguin from Architectmade is a design by Hans Bunde from 1954
And now a "Danish design classic".
The adorable penguin has a hand-painted back made of wenge wood that accentuates the bird's plumage, while the chest is made of natural beech wood.
Initially, Hans Bunde had made and designed the Penguin for his two sisters as a gift.
The penguins are handmade and painted, the design makes it look as if the bird is standing in the Arctic sun and looking around.
The beech wood penguin is a particularly elegant object, and also a sculpture that looks great on your sideboard, cupboard, windowsill or on your table.

About the designer:
Hans Bunde was born in 1919. and was a very skilled silversmith, a graduate of the internationally renowned Cohr Silver, he was strongly influenced by Wiwen Nilsson.
Hans Bunde designed a wide variety of products in collaboration with Cohr Silver. He convincingly characterized Cohr's design line in the 1950s as one of the most important designers.
