The elegant and innovative Gubi B-Table in walnut by French designer Marcel Gascoin in the 1950's is two tables in one - it consists of an solid oak or walnut frame on top of four streamlined tapered legs. Lifting just two sections on a curved crossbar below and rotating the table top will lift the other two sections.
All four sections slide effortlessly into magnetic locks and hold them in place. This smooth and simple transition means that the table can be transformed from one shape to another - and back again in one fluid motion. The entire table is expertly crafted from solid and veneered oak or walnut.
When the table is not folded out, it has a width of 85 centimeters and a depth of 85 centimeters. When the tops are folded out, the round table top has a diameter of 116 centimeters. The table has a height of 75 centimeters and thanks to this adjustable option you can vary from four to six places at the dining table.
The recently reissued table is based on Gascoin's original drawings with a few minor tweaks, such as a slight elevation of the table due to the height of modern humans.
