About the designer:
Throughout his life, Bojesen himself has held the mantra that good design should be human, warm and lively: "They should remind you of a circus", that is how he usually described his works, of which the charming wooden figures are among the most popular.
With its user-friendly and modern design language, Kay Bojesen is one of the greatest Danish functionalists. In his naive designs form and object, seriousness and play flow into each other. At the same time, Bojesen had a unique ability to bring wood to life, which has made his works international design icons.
