Description

Beetle chair fully upholstered - base black.

Design by designers duo Gamfratesi.

The fully upholstered dining chair carries strong references to the design duo Gam-Fratesi's inspirational source; the insect world, more specific the world of beetles. Not just the name indicates their inspiration, but also the characteristic elements of the beetles’ sections have been interpreted - shape, shells, sutures, rigid outside and soft inside.

The wide range of upholstery options and different bases make it possible to put your personal touch to the Beetle Dining Chair and create one of its kind.

The chair is 87 centimeters high, 56 centimeters wide and 58 centimeters deep. The seat height is 43.5 centimeters. This elegant chair upholstered with Gubi Boucle fabric in 003 is with a conic black, black-chrome, chrome, brass and with antique brass base available .

Gubi fabric composition: Dedar Belsuede Special Fr 003 - camel brown: 55% viscose, 30% linnen, 15% cotton.

The famous Beetle chair is a unique result of the collaboration between the Italian and a Danish designer: the designer duo Gamfratesi. The duo Gamfratesi consists of Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, and they took their inspiration for the famous Beetle collection from the insect world. For example, they examined the anatomy of insects, including the beetle, and based this on the design for the iconic Beetle chair.

The chair has been given an organic shape with a sturdy hard shell (armor) and thin legs for an airy effect. Gam-fratesi's designs always have a traditional design with surprising modern aspects. This also applies to the Beetle chair. The dining room chair has an elegant appearance and is also very comfortable, with a backrest that moves well. A design chair that easily fits into everyone's interior. The Beetle chair effortlessly combines with modern and classic wooden dining tables, or tables made of steel, glass dining tables.

The Beetle chair was introduced in 2012 and has been a great success in everyone's home ever since, and they are also very popular in restaurants and hotels. The Beetle chair comes in many different variants: for the frame there is a choice of thin conical steel legs (in mat black, chrome-black, chrome, brass and antique brass), wooden legs, stackable legs or with a swivel foot.

The seat shell is made of sturdy polypropylene and comes in various beautiful colors and materials. For example, the chair can also be upholstered with all kinds of fabrics and leathers from different manufacturers (including Gubi itself). If you choose to upholster the chair, the chair also gets a so-called piping / piping of the same fabric or contrasting fabric or a piping of leather (cognac or black leather) around the entire cockpit.

The Gamfratesi design studio was founded in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The studio is located in Copenhagen, they also travel a lot up and down between Italy and Denmark for research of new upcoming projects and development of new products. Gamfratesi already made many beautiful designs for Gubi, Hay, Skultuna, Louis Poulsen lighting, Fritz Hansen and others.
