The height adjustable Beetle Chair is a beautiful design by Gam-fratesi for the Danish design brand Gubi. The Beetle Chair on wheels from Gubi has a black aluminum base.
Taking inspiration from the beetle's modest beauty and incredible comfort, GamFratesi modeled the chair after the insect of the same name. The Beetle Chair not only evokes the anatomy and distinctive features of the beetle, but also draws on the structural beauty of its shell. With a polypropylene plastic shell atop a new polished aluminum castor base, the chair embodies sleek design and functionality.
The Beetle chair was introduced in 2012 and has since been a great success in everyone's home, and in restaurants and hotels they are also very popular. The Beetle chair comes in many different variants: for the frame there is a choice of thin conical steel legs (in matt black, chrome black, chrome, brass and antique brass), wooden legs, stackable legs or with a swivel foot.
The shell of the chair is made of sturdy polypropylene and comes in various beautiful colors and materials. The chair can also be upholstered with all kinds of fabrics and leathers from different manufacturers (including Gubi himself). If you choose to upholster the chair, the chair will also have a so-called piping / trim of the same fabric or contrasting fabric or a trim of leather (cognac or black leather) around the entire cockpit.
