Hay Boa Table.

The Hay Boa table by Stefan Diez is inspired by traditional Japanese bamboo craftsmanship, which can be found in the design.

The tubular base is made entirely of Hydro circal, a recycled aluminum made from a minimum of 75% recycled consumer waste and extruded in Denmark using renewable energy (hydropower). Consumer waste can range from beverage cans to dismantled and recycled windows.

The design of the frame is based on an innovative Japanese folding technique. This process, combined with the lightness of aluminum, provides a degree of flexibility rarely found in a table of this size. The Boa can be disassembled and stored flat for easy transport. And the assembly is extremely easy.

You can order the Frames in different colors and sizes. They can be supplemented with additional accessories such as power supply and cable storage. A lot is also possible in the choice of tops (linoleum, laminate, wood, glass).

Used materials:

Top made of 25 mm plywood, laminate, linoleum, veneer or 10 mm tempered glass. Frame in recycled aluminum tube Ø10 cm.

About the designer:

Stefan Diez is a Munich-based German industrial designer who founded his studio in 2003. The son of a cabinetmaker, where he received his early education, his approach to design has always been firmly rooted in the workshop, where he developed his passion for experimenting with different materials.

His products are graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Stuttgart and have received international recognition, including the iF Gold and Red Dot awards for best design. Diez has a forward-looking approach to design, advocating the idea that design should be about creating quality products that last for generations.

Diez is a demanding designer, a powerful generator of ideas and is always rigorous in his quest to understand the real practicalities of furniture production. For HAY he designed the New Order Shelving System, the New Order Table and the Rope Trick.
