Between 1948 and 1960, George Nelson's office designed more than 150 clocks for the American clock manufacturer Howard Miller. The collection consists of wall clocks and table clocks characterized by imaginative shapes, modern spirit and the absence of numbers.

About the designer:
George Nelson (1908-1986) was an American architect and designer who is considered one of the greatest American designers of the mid-twentieth century. Nelson studied at Yale University and in Rome, where he became familiar with European architecture and design. After returning to the United States, Nelson joined Herman Miller, where he soon took on the position of Design Director.
