Arne Jacobsen is widely regarded as the world's first designer who designed not only the building but also the furniture, cutlery, lighting fixtures, textiles, door handles, signage, glassware and many other details.

With this collection, Arne Jacobsen has created a style that has become characteristic of the 1950s. He made seating furniture inspired by silhouettes from nature. An egg, a drop, a swan or ant, these were transformed into modern design.

About the designer:

Trained as an architect in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen started the profession way back in the year 1920. His most famous buildings are Arhus Town Hall in Denmark, SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and St Catherine's College in Oxford, England.
