This beautiful wooden elephant is an icon of modern Danish design history.
With its good-natured appearance and robust physical presence, the Kay Bojesen's Elephant evokes instant confidence and will become your faithful companion.
This beloved elephant by Kay Bojesen will be 70 years old in 2023 and that should of course be celebrated with a special edition. That's why an elephant has now been added to the Reworked family, which is a beautiful mix of different woods, such as teak, walnut, oak, ash and maple. All different types of wood come from surplus and residual wood that would otherwise be lost. The Reworked series is Kay Bojesen's answer to upcycling and minimizing raw material waste, reviving the Reworked Elephant in a modern, responsible and more sustainable way.
The special edition of the elephant therefore not only points to the past, but also to the future. Each reworked elephant is unique, as its appearance depends on the wood left over from the day of production. You would therefore almost be tempted to call the reworked version of Elefanten more unique than the original classic. Each elephant has a 70th anniversary stamp under its foot and comes in a special limited edition wooden anniversary box!
