Fionia stool is a modern, Nordic interpretation of the ancient X-chair. About the designer:

Jens Quistgaard (1919–2008) was a Danish designer whose works became synonymous with Scandinavian Modern. He apprenticed under Georg Jensen and developed from being a draughtsman and relief-maker to a sculptural designer. His designs were exhibited at trade fairs and homes around the world.
