About the designer:
Hans Bølling's work is known for his play, playfulness and humor. A passionate spirit whose products are inspired by his creative diversity, Bølling's interest in architecture made him decide to go back to school for a second degree, in advertising designer, where he further developed his studio.
At the start of his career he started making small figures from botanicals as a gift for family and friends. This precision and personality in his designs paved the way for success when he quickly started selling the wooden figures to stores and department stores.
Fortunately, Bølling shortly thereafter won a prize for the designs and invested the profit in his own woodworking machine. This access to the means of production started the production of the now famous Duck and Duckling of Bølling in the fifties.
Years later, Hans still comes to the Architectmade headquarters to see his beloved products, he is a cheerful spirit.
