Design by Gam-Fratesi.
This armchair has the unusual combination of a four-legged frame in combination with a round seat shell and is also rotatable. To achieve this, the legs are attached to a round rotating rail, which provides a 360 degree rotation. This creates an unusual flexibility that is rarely seen in armchairs of this size, the chair is suitable for both at home or in the catering or waiting area / lounges hotels.
The Dorso from GamFratesis follows the usual tradition of the wide range of options that HAY offers and is therefore available with legs in matt black powder-coated, chrome-plated steel, or in oiled oak. When it comes to upholstery, there is an abundance of different fabrics to choose from in the first five different price categories, with a huge color palette.
The Dorso armchair from HAY has a width of 78 centimeters, a depth of 69 centimeters and a total height of 72 centimeters.
The agency was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The two designers met in 2004 while studying at the University of Ferrara in Northern Italy and then visited the School of Architecture in Denmark together. Then they decided to set up GamFratesi together. The studio is located in Copenhagen and from here they design furniture for different brands. Due to the double traditional background, the designer duo draws from the classic Danish furniture tradition and the classic Italian conceptual approach. This creates furniture that reflects tradition, but also tells a unique story.
