The Atelier chair from Artek has a pleasant appearance and beautifully balanced proportions that will easily fit in restaurants or at your dining table at home.
The Atelier chair was designed in 2018 when the Swedish TAF Studio was commissioned to design the interior for the new restaurant of the Stockholm National Museum - the chair got its name because the dining room resembles an artist's studio. The Finnish Artek was chosen as the manufacturer because of its high quality and long expertise with wood. Atelier refers to a dining room chair designed by the Swedish architect Sven Markelius in the early 20th century, and the gently curved backrest and connecting pieces between the front legs give it an easy, informal atmosphere. The lightweight and stackable chair is ideal for both public and private spaces.
The chair is stackable up to 7 chairs.

Swedish architects Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom have been running the architecture and design studio TAF (formerly TAF Architects) in Stockholm, Sweden since 2002. TAF Studio's goal is to make ordinary life less ordinary through subtle yet effective changes in the way products and architecture appear and function. A recurring principle in the projects of TAF Studio is that everyday objects can still be made special because of their ordinariness.
