Relax after a long day or read a book in this comfortable, luxurious Uchiwa armchair. This spacious armchair is designed with the soft and open shape of an authentic Japanese hand fan as a source of inspiration. This open shape makes it an inviting place to relax, and it also looks beautiful in any interior.
The source of inspiration for this minimalist armchair was the Japanese hand fan. The idea behind this hand fan is reflected in the fold in the back of the armchair. This special design comes from Doshi Levien, a London design studio founded by fellow students NipaDoshi and Jonathan Levien.
They have already built up a good reputation, and their specialty is designing technically advanced designs with a cultural 'touch', such as with this Uchiwa design armchair.
