The rocket bar stool from the Finnish Artek is a unique solid oak bar stool designed in 1995 by Eero Aarnio. Available in soaped, white or black oak finish. Eero Aarnio is not very well known for its wood products, but the Rocket stool shows that Aarnio is also an expert in this field.

Rocket is a bar stool whose silhouette is inviting to sit on. Aarnio originally designed the Rocket for his own kitchen at home, and it became part of the Artek collection after Tom Dixon saw it.

About the designer:

Eero Aarnio (1932) is a Finnish designer and professor and is considered one of the great innovators of modern furniture design. Over the years, Aarnio has experimented with different materials, including plastic, fiberglass and foam plastic. With these materials, he has created some icons of Finnish design, such as the Ball Chair (1962), Bubble Chair (1968) and Pastil Chair (1968), just to name a few.
