Due to the 60th year that the PH5 has been on the market, Louis Poulsen has launched the beloved classic in both new and original colours. PH 5 in classic white has soft white tones, purple struts and blue anti-glare disc.

The pendant’s structure is both elegant and innovative: the beautiful, layered shades prevent glare and provide a pleasant lighting in any room. What’s more, the red cone and the small blue reflector inside the pendant give the light a warmer tone. The name of the pendant refers to its designer and the main shade’s 50- cm. diameter. PH 5 pendant light is perfect above a dining table but also suits higher mounting in various architectural spaces.

About the designer: Poul Henningsen.

Poul Henningsen (1894-1967) was a famous Danish designer who studied at the Technical School at Frederiksberg, Denmark, from 1911 to 1914, and then at the Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914 to 1917. He started practicing traditional functionalist architecture, but over the years his professional interests changed to focus mainly on lighting which is what he became famous for.
