Exact replicas of the originals, both in terms of material and design, these pieces of furniture are real little works of art.
Everything is meticulously respected in the manufacture of these replicas: the structure, the materials and the colors are identical to the original work. Originally conceived from a purely educational perspective, the concept gradually turned into collectibles.
The big names in design are featured in this Vitra collection, such as Mies Van der Rohe, Eames, Verner Panton, Saarinen.
Charles and Ray Eames were both enamored with elephants and released the Plywood Elephant in 1945. Due to its round shapes, the elephant has always been very child-friendly, and the many openings increase this effect, making it a beautiful and stylish piece of children's toy. Only two of the Plywood Elephant were made at the time, both on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The Plywood Elephant is made of bent plywood, which was very special for the time!
