The candlestick called cube is a design from 1962 by the Danish architect and designer Mogens Lassen.

About the designer:
The Danish architect Mogens Lassen (1901-1987) was a pioneer of Danish functionalism. In 1927 he left to work for an engineering firm, but he did not like the work and did not speak French. However, Paris changed Lassen's view of architecture and when he returned to Denmark he set up his own studio.
