A design by the Danish company STUDIO 0405, the Apollo Portable Lamp is both a portable and freestanding lamp for indoor and outdoor use that creates space and intimacy wherever it is placed.

Handcrafted from a single piece of opal glass, the rounded curves and uniform silhouette are a contemporary interpretation of the classic lamp shape. The light source and rechargeable battery are hidden in the hood and illuminate the upper part for a warm, atmospheric glow.

Apollo's portability and relative simplicity of design make it suitable for use in many rooms in a domestic environment, as well as in cafes, patios and other outdoor areas.

About the designer:

Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze is a Danish designer and owner of the Copenhagen-based architecture and design studio STUDIO 0405. He graduated from the Kolding School of Design in Denmark, specializing in product design, before founding STUDIO 0405 in 2015.

STUDIO 0405 is a design studio that works at the intersection of space and object. It examines the culture of the historical, technical and aesthetic properties of design and how it can be qualified and further developed in an object.
