The Hashira is a design by Norm Architects for Audo Copenhagen. Taking their name from the Japanese word for column or pillar, this textile lamp series fills the room/hallway/hallway with a cozy ambient light. The lamp is a modern, Scandinavian interpretation of the traditional Japanese rice lantern.
The lamp has a shade that is handmade with a beige-colored textile. In this way, the lamp provides a very atmospheric diffused ambient light. The shade has sleek steel lines that keep the textile in place and at the same time add a graphic effect to the lamp.
This perfectly balanced light works well in both classic and contemporary settings, on its own or in a cluster, whether at home or in commercial spaces.
The Hashira Cluster wall lamp is available in 2 versions (make your choice in the options below) and is part of a collection with table, floor and pendant lamps.

About the designers:
Norm Architects is a dynamic design duo composed by the Danish architects Kasper Rønn (b. 1976) and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen (b. 1976), both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts in Copenhagen. Being true modernists, they believe in design where the focus is in meeting a real need instead of creating one, and this reflects from their work as architects as well as industrial designers.
