Keep in mind that untreated teak furniture develops a patina over time and eventually turns a light gray color. If you wish to keep the original golden colour, it is advisable to treat teak furniture with a suitable teak lacquer.

Gubi is a Danish family business from 1967 that specializes in the design and production of designer furniture, designer lamps and mirrors. The Gubi brand was founded by Lisbeth and Gubi Olsen.

About the designer:

Marcel Gascoin (1907-1986) is known as one of the leading designers of post-war France. Driven by his social conscience and aptitude for combining austere aesthetics with rational production processes, Gascoin played an important role in rebuilding the country.

During the post-war housing crisis, Gascoin was employed by the French Ministry of Reconstruction and Urbanism to design homes and elegant yet functional furnishings, many of which have since become sought-after design classics.
