Design by Anderssen & Voll.
The Muuto In Situ modular sofa is a large, deep and cozy modular sofa that can be adapted to any individual space, both private and project-based. The elegant and straight lines are balanced by the play of mobile cushions. The technical elements that enable modularity are hidden in the underlying steel structure.
Choose from one of the 30 pre-designed configurations or create your own using the 9 different seating modules and the 2 separate cushions: In Situ small 65 x 25 cm. In Situ large 65 x 45 cm.

Anderssen & Voll:
“With the In Situ Modular Sofa, we wanted to combine the functions of modularity with the beauty of simple, elegant lines and deep comfort. We sketched a profile that runs along the seat and back of the sofa to subtly hide the visual elements of modularity, giving it a unique character and bringing the individual modules together for a complete look.
This is accompanied by grand, sculptural lines and the inherent comfort of the soft seat. The In Situ Modular Sofa combines the grandeur of traditional Italian sofas with the refined simplicity of Scandinavian design, making it the heart of any space.
Material Powder-coated steel frame. Modules with a wooden construction, foam, cotton wool and fiber balls. Covered with Kvadrat and Rohleder textiles.
The In Situ sofas and cushions can be upholstered in all colors of the textile groups: Fiord, Vidar, Hallingdal, Divina, Divina MD & Divina Melange by Kvadrat and selected colors from Kvadrat's Clay (001, 003, 006, 007, 009, 010, 012, 013, 014, 015, 017) and the Rohleder's Ocean textile range.

On Their Design Philosophy:
“A good product builds and expands on tradition while simultaneously breaking the rules of said tradition. Modifications and elements of surprise, even changes that are less radical, stimulate thought and reflection, also who may not hold a particular interest in design. This tiny second of reflection is the window of opportunity where we can communicate with the users and that’s what we strive to tap into.”
