The Vitra Zoo Timer wall clocks from 1965 are part of the collection that George Nelson designed in the mid-20th century for the American clock manufacturer Howard Miller.
George Nelson was also a graphic designer out there and these colorful children's clocks are a great example of his skills. The clocks have been reissued by Vitra, and consist of Omar de Uil, Elihu de Olifant and Fernando de Vis.
The zoo timer is a beautiful playful clock for the nursery or elsewhere where it comes into its own.

About the designer:
George Nelson (1908-1986) was an American architect and designer considered one of the greatest American designers of the mid-twentieth century. Nelson studied at Yale University and in Rome, where he was introduced to European architecture and design. After returning to the United States, Nelson began working at Herman Miller, where he soon assumed the position of Design Director.
