The Artek Domus lounge chair is a design by the Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara from 1946. The Domus chair is perfect to use as a relax chair. The Domus is a design icon that was specially designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for the Domus Academica project (student housing project) which he completed with his wife Annikki Tapiovaara.

The Domus armchair chair in Artek's characterful beech wood is a real lounge chair par excellence, and also looks very unique. lmari Tapiovaara (1914-1999) was a well-known Finnish interior architect and designer. In his designs Tapiovaara has always looked for a humane side and fitting in a warm living environment. Tapiovaara's designed pieces of furniture were always part of a whole, with architecture as the starting point.
