Powder-coated, (non-rotatable) four-star cast aluminum base with MDF table top with real oak veneer. Finished with plastic glides for soft carpet floors.

The designers:

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Breton brothers, are the rising stars of European design and the most promising industrial designers to emerge from France since Philippe Starck in the 1980s.

A combination of romance and functionality runs through the work of both brothers. Like all truly talented designers, the Bouroullecs have defined a distinctive visual style, which Jasper Morrison (one of the designers they most admire) described as "thoughtful and disciplined, with a genuine spirit and poetry." The brothers also have an extraordinary ability to reinvent traditional types of furniture or products by recreating them in a way that is particularly suited to their generation, who often move from place to place, ideally with their furniture.
