Bright Helio is named after the phenomenon; heliotropism, which is present amongst all plants but most famously known from the sun flower which very visibly is orienting towards the sun during the day.
Bright Helio is a hybrid between a pendant and a floor lamp. It has the lightness of a pendant and the freedom of a floor lamp.
In both new and old buildings, ceiling outlets are rarely exactly where you need them and this often becomes a constraint when it comes to interior decoration. Some pendants can be offset and connected without compromising the design, but most pendants will suffer from it.
Bright Helio is kept in place by a suspended wire and balanced on two touch point. The vertical position of the shade can be adjusted as well as the tilt.
Just as with Bright Malus, Bright Helio also has a cord resembling a stem. The idea is to soften the rigid and controlled feel of the lamp. The Bright Helio comes with a marble foot which besides from adding tactility to the design, also serves as a weight to keep the wire straight.
All components of the lamps are toned, from the the mouth blown glass to the grey Grigio Belimi marble at the floor is working within the grey scale. The idea is to uniform the different parts of the lamp into an ‘industrial flower’.
