Emma's idea was to make a carpet from an old classic geometric pattern, resembling harmonic Mediterranean tile patterns in soft colours.

Celebrating their Scandinavian heritage, Asplund creates contemporary furniture in collaboration with celebrated Swedish designers and architects. Their simple, versatile and high-quality designs ensure thoughtful, functional living and working.

The idea for the old classical pattern comes from the pavement of Orvieto Cathedral that Emma visited on a trip to Italy.

The geometric pattern creates an optical illusion as the eyes try to identify stars, cubes, stripes and more.
