Design by Andreas Bergsaker
The new Hay Chisel Lounge Chair, designed by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker, is a contemporary yet timeless take on the well-known molded plywood chair. Named after the classic carpentry tool, Chisel was born from the desire to design a solid wood chair with a striking silhouette that would stand the test of time, and they certainly succeeded.
Developed with optimum craftsmanship and ergonomics in mind, the chair's soft, organic seat and back provide good support in a visually inviting way, complemented by angled legs that reflect the chisel references with their characteristic beveled edges.
The wide variety of woods, color options and front upholstery options of the Chisel lounge chair, combined with its compact size, make it ideal for use in both private and public environments, from living rooms and bedrooms to waiting rooms, lobbies and libraries.
Dimensions: H68 W63 L66 cm. Material: shell oak veneer, black water base lacquer. Frame in solid oak, black water-based lacquer. Front upholstery Sense leather dark brown. Chair fitted with standard plastic caps.
