The characterful Organic Chair is a comfortable reading chair by well-known designers Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen, an iconic design from 1940.
The Organic Chair was first shown in 1940 as a contribution to the New York MoMA's 'Organic Design in Home Furnishings' competition. Formally speaking, the Organic Chair was far ahead of its time, but due to the lack of production techniques it never went into series production. Only after 1950 did it become possible to produce and market larger quantities of organically shaped seat shells.
Regarding the upholstery of the chair, you can choose from various fabric groups such as Hopsak, Cozy, Tonus and Credo. The Hopsak and Credo fabrics are also suitable for use in public spaces and working environments, due to their high wear resistance.
You can choose from black ash or natural oak for the legs.
The chair is 72.5 centimeters wide, 82.5 centimeters high and 67.5 centimeters deep. The seat height is 35 centimeters.
