The iconic Eames House Bird enriched the well-known Eames House of designer couple Charles and Ray Eames and is now also available in stained dark green and pale pink (part of the Eames Special Collection '23) available until the end of January 2024.The Eames House Bird from Vitra is truly a classic and very iconic for the Vitra brand.

This bird can also be found in the private home of Eames House. For more than 50 years, this bird has been the epitome of design, truly a timeless piece.

The bird was one of the most beloved decorative objects in the house of Charles and Ray Eames and is now known as the black, wooden bird called: Eames House Bird. The bird can be seen in many photos of the famous designer couple and even found its way into a commercial poster of Eames chairs. The original wooden bird was a piece of Appalachian folk art that Charles and Ray Eames found during their travels.

Like the original model, Vitra's Eames House Bird is made of painted alder wood with steel wire legs.

Now a special limited edition in pink and green stained for the Eames Special Collection, Vitra will launch a limited edition of the House Bird in two stained wood variants in 2023: Pale Rose and Dark Green. The legs are, just like the classic version, made of wire steel.
