The Chaconia chair from Fredericia's is a timeless design by Nanna Ditzel from 1962. It was first presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmaker's Guild exhibition in the 1960s, but unfortunately this chair never came into production. Now the Danish design house Fredericia is paying tribute to Ditzel's legacy by releasing the Chaconia chair in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
The Chaconia chair is a great example of Nanna Ditzel's groundbreaking vision for the modern living room: she wanted to create a chair that allows free movement and interaction with the surrounding space.
The exceptionally sleek frame of the Chaconia chair is made of antique varnished Oregon pine, while the white seat is upholstered with Kvadrat's Hallingdal wool mix fabric. Each of the 100 chairs is completed with a copper plate with a unique production number and Nanna Ditzel's signature.
