Hay Type Chair.

The lightweight and stackable Type Chair by Danish designer Jonas Trampedach is made of aluminum, suitable for outdoor and indoor use.

Through Jonas Trampedach's excellent craftsmanship to effortlessly combine with industrial processes and create a deceptively simple aluminum chair, the HAY Type Chair was created.

The smooth, curved surface of the frame enhances the sculptural design. The lightweight frame enhances the chair's functionality, making it easy to stack or move around your home.

Whether you use it indoors or outdoors, the Type's minimalist style makes it easy to combine with a variety of different tables and other furniture.

Materials and finishes:
Silver grey aluminum chair with extruded backrest, folded sheet steel seat and frame with tubular legs. Sandblasted and then treated with a waterproof silicone coating.

About the designer:

Designer Jonas Trampedach was born in Denmark in 1974. He studied Design at Denmark’s Design school in 2004, followed by a Master’s degree in Design Products at the Royal College of Art in London in 2009. After moving back to Copenhagen in 2010, Jonas established his own studio, where he produces furniture and products in his own designs as well as working on collaborations with other design companies. For HAY, Jonas has developed the Cornet Bar Stool and the Type Chair.
