About the designer:
Born in 1939, Rainer Daumiller was shaped by the rigors of World War II and developed an affinity for nature as he searched for fruits and berries during the ubiquitous food shortages. His design career started in primary school, where he designed a desk and wardrobe with a friend.
While apprenticed as a cabinetmaker in a nearby town, his burgeoning talents blossomed under the supervision of Enwin Behr, who introduced Daumiller to the philosophies of Rudolph Steiner, sharpening his instinct to listen to materials and enhance their natural characteristics. design determined.
