In the minimalist and Scandinavian PK24 lounge chair by Poul Kjærholm from 1965, the steel construction is central, also as a beautiful counterpart in wood.
The PK20™ is a relaxed and elegant armchair, designed by Poul Kjærholm. The chair is handmade from both wicker and leather and has a soft leather upholstery and an adjustable headrest, which rests on a matte stainless steel frame.
The PK24 chair is also called the hammock chair because of the organically shaped lying area, which appears to float above the stainless steel base. The chair works on the same principle as a hammock, where a cloth is hung from two points and the center of gravity is in the middle. The design invites you to stretch out and lounge.
Over the years, the PK24 has become a Poul Kjærholm classic - and also a permanent fixture in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Dimensions: Depth - 155 cm, Width - 67 cm, Height - 85 cm, the seat height is 14 cm.
Poul Kjaerholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in various building materials; especially steel, which he regarded as a natural material with the same artistic finesse as other natural materials.
