The Series 3300™ was designed by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Air Terminal connected to the SAS Royal Hotel. The series exudes Jacobsen’s unfailing sense of line and proportion and is proof of his ability to design everlasting classics. The Series 3300™ forms an elegant contrast to the organic shapes of the Egg and Swan chairs, also designed especially for the Royal Hotel. The Series 3300 model is a comfortable 1-seater sofa chair with precise contours, comfortable backrest, and a thin, tubular steel frame. The Series 3300 1-seater is very appealing and compact for smaller setting and small spaces.

About the designer:

It is said that as a child growing up in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen painted over the Victorian wallpaper in his bedroom. But young Arne did not cover his walls with typical childish drawings or paint the ornate wallpaper boyish blue. Instead, he decided to paint his room entirely white. His decision may seem commonplace today, but in the early twentieth century white walls were not yet in fashion. From the very beginning, Arne Jacobsen was ahead of his time.
