Design by Thomas Sandell.
The Tisti sideboard has an eye-catching appearance. This is created by the intarsia technique where differently colored and shaped pieces of wood are inserted, in a pattern.
The types of wood used are ash and elm, which are inserted into a larger wooden surface, for example for a table top or a drawer front.
The art of making intarsia is a Scandinavian technique that is thousands of years old, and requires both a lot of patience and a sense of perfectionism.
