The pine coffee table from Vaarnii will certainly catch the eye, due to its exaggerated proportions or the unusual choice of refined carpentry.
The coffee table is a unique design by designers duo Soft Barok, and is based on traditional joints often used in Finnish log cabins to create a striking construction that is also incredibly strong and solid: you can sit, stand on coffee table or even to dance!
The coffee table is made of Finnish virgin pine wood, an often overlooked yet exceptionally characterful material. In addition to the vibrant grains and knots that make each table unique, the wood is characterized by oils and resins that react to UV rays and slowly change the color of the table to a rich, honey-like hue.
Therefore, the coffee table will only become more fascinating as it ages and after use or dancing.
Note:
Pine is a soft wood and will eventually come to life through the resulting dents and scratches, which should be embraced and enjoyed as characteristic signs of aging. Pine wood will naturally change color as it ages (patination), with your pale furniture piece gradually maturing to a beautiful warm honey color over a number of years.
