The Palko cushion from the Finnish Marimekko in the well-known Palko pattern designed by Maija Louekari.

Inspired by pods, the graphic shapes of Palko, Finnish for "pod", form even, recurring wavy stripes.

The pattern is in the Marimekko design tradition, striking, distinctive and subtly organic.

The Palko cushion is ideal for decorating your sofa or bed, and matches beautifully with other Marimekko cushion covers. The cushion cover is made in Helsinki, Finland and is made of unbleached cotton fabric.

About the designer:

The Finnish print designer Maija Louekari (1982) is best known for the textile prints designed for Marimekko. Louekari studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and in 2003 she won a design competition jointly organized by her university and Marimekko.
