The design of this now iconic lamp is by designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson.

Now Vaarnii has redesigned this classic hanging lamp from the 60s and replaced the original material with beautiful Finnish pine wood.

The natural wood is the perfect choice for an intriguing lamp like the Hans. The light shines with a soft, honey-like glow through the living wood surface and invites you to come closer. The natural grain patterns of the pine add softness and a natural look to the lamp.

The atmospheric shine of the hanging lamp is ideal for brightening up dining rooms, kitchens, living rooms and public spaces.

All Hans fixtures are handmade in Finland.

About the designer:

Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919–2009) was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company since 1951. Jakobsson was and is especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a soft glowing light and an organic shape. His designs are inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and the Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
