Karakter Domo Table Lamp.

The Domo table lamp from the Danish company Karakter's is a fine example of Joe Colombo's famous design philosophy in terms of both form and function.

The Domo was designed in 1965 and has simple geometric shapes that give the fixture a modern, graphic silhouette. Thanks to the adjustable lamp head, Domo can be used both as mood lighting and as a practical task or reading light – for example, you can direct the light onto the pages of your book.

About the designer:

Joe Colombo (1930–1971) was an Italian industrial designer known for his futuristic style and interest in multifunctional, modular systems. After studying painting and architecture in Milan, Colombo worked actively as a painter and sculptor before starting his career as an industrial designer in the 1950s.
