The table lamp is made by Dutch designer Gijs Bakker for Danish Karakter. The lamp is made from a single piece of mouth-blown glass for an atmospheric light and is designed with three structures to support the bulb in the middle of the lamp.
The lamp is made of mouth-blown glass in the shape of a sphere and houses the lighting mechanism. Three interlocking structures support the bulb that seems to float in the middle. A two-meter black cord connects the lamp to power outlets, while a dimmer allows you to adjust the desired atmosphere.

About the designer:
Aldo Bakker, born in 1971, is known for his desire to create pieces whose function is not always immediately apparent, but which nevertheless require a little more use or observation. Rather than just being used, he wants his designs to evoke feelings – he often incorporates unusual and surprising, yet vaguely familiar elements into his creations. The self-taught designer likes to follow his own path.
Many of Aldo Bakker's designs are unique pieces or are produced in small editions, but during his career he has also collaborated with Georg Jensen, Karakter and Swarovski, among others. Bakker's designs have been acquired by various museums in his native Netherlands and abroad: MoMA in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and Victoria & Albert Museum in London, to name a few.
