The PH Artichoke is a masterpiece from the Louis Poulsen collection.

This beautiful pendant lamp is now more than 40 years old and is considered a classic masterpiece designed by Poul Henningsen (PH, who has been working as a designer for Louis Poulsen since 1925). The lamp consists of 12 steel arches. 72 scales are placed on this frame, which means that the light source is not visible from any angle and the lamp is 100% glare-free. Each row is placed diagonally under the previous one, giving the Artichoke lamp a beautiful and playful look.

The lamp was originally designed for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen, where they still hang.

This beautiful PH Artichoke Glass Yellow is made from 72 yellow glass sheets, carefully mounted onto the high-gloss chrome frame to provide the exceptional, glare-free light that this iconic Poul Henningsen design is known for. The PH Artichoke Glass Yellow is part of the Louis Poulsen | FENDI Casa collaboration, which debuted at Milan Design Week in 2023.

Each of the pieces in this collection are unique versions of iconic Poul Henningsen designs, subtly reflecting the distinctive design language of Italian Fendi through their luxurious colour scheme. With this collaboration, Louis Poulsen and Fendi-Casa have come together to create a collection of lamps that reflect a shared approach to craftsmanship, innovation and heritage, fusing Danish design tradition and Italian excellence, resulting in modern interpretations of products designed almost 100 years ago.

Please note: This lamp is very special - and therefore requires something special. After purchase, we will create a special contract for you to sign. The suspension will then be delivered and you will be responsible for installing the suspension - Louis Poulsen will then send a trained technician to install the leaves, no matter where you are in the world.
