About Kay Bojesen
Kay Bojesen (1886–1958) began his career as an apprentice silversmith at Georg Jensen in 1906. After several years of work experience in Germany and France, he settled as a silversmith in Copenhagen. His curious nature soon led him to look beyond precious metals. In the 1920s he began experimenting with wood – a material he discovered was particularly suited to industrial design. His designs in wood are playful, friendly and timeless, and appeal to the imagination of young and old.
