The Mynt office chair by renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec (2025) is a new office chair from the Vitra brand. The universal chair Mynt by Erwan Bouroullec combines the attractive, homely look of a studio chair with a completely new, dynamic seating experience.

The modern Mynt chair is available in many beautiful configurations, such as the seat shell and back in natural oak plywood, colored recycled plastic or fully or partially upholstered in the most beautiful Vitra fabric options. The frame comes in powder-coated aluminum or blasted aluminum. The base, the foot comes in a four-star base on gliders or four-star base on wheels, or five-star base on wheels.

The Mynt office chair is very comfortable, so the chair is always equipped with a functional lever to sit in the right position.The key element is the patented mechanism, which is activated by body weight and tilts forwards or backwards depending on the shifts in the sitter’s position – with the seat moving independently of the backrest. The movement resistance automatically adapts to the user’s weight – only the height needs to be adjusted.

Materials & Finish:
The seat and backrest are made of plywood and natural oak veneer.

The four-legged base and mechanism are made of aluminium, 95% of which comes from recycled material. Available in various colours with a powder coating in a fine structure for a durable colour and surface protection.

The chair comes with felt pads as standard, suitable for hard floors.

About the designer:

Erwan Bouroullec
Born in 1976, Erwan Bouroullec is a Paris-based designer who has gained international recognition, especially through his collaboration with his older brother, Ronan. Together, they have worked for more than fifteen years as interior designers and architects and have made a name for themselves worldwide.

Erwan’s work ranges from small objects to large-scale installations and is characterised by a playful, minimalist approach that is instantly recognisable.

Since their first collaboration with Cappellini, the Bouroullec brothers have worked for numerous international brands, including Artek, Established & Sons, Close, HAY, Kvadrat, Magis, nanimarquina, Samsung and Vitra.
