Bistro furniture captures the allure of cosmopolitan

Whether tucked into a cozy indoor nook or placed on an

Staying true to the compact nature of the classic bistro
table while offering a more generous dining surface, OEO
Studio has taken the characterful curved ceramic top of
the Carmel Coffee Table for the new design. Slightly larger
than the traditional bistro table, the Carmel Bistro Lounge
and Dining Tables comfortably seat two people and
can even offer enough space to accommodate intimate
gatherings of up to four. This thoughtful balance of scale
and versatility makes them ideal for both compact spaces
and more social settings.
With a rounded, pebble-like silhouette, the tabletop is
mounted on a set of slender, semi-matt black legs in
stainless steel, a material chosen for its strength, durability,
and suitability for outdoor use. Developed for the bistro
typology, the table’s four legs come together in an almost
tree-like form, fixing to the tabletop at four central connection
points to optimize legroom while ensuring balance and
stability. A discreet support plate fitted between the legs
and the tabletop lends extra strength to the surface. For
ease of shipping, the tables are supplied flat-packed
and are designed for quick, hassle-free assembly. Once
assembled, their lightweight construction allows for easy
repositioning around the home, making them a flexible
addition to any indoor or outdoor space.

Available in two heights, Carmel Bistro Tables cater both
to traditional bistro dining and more relaxed, casual
occasions. The taller dining version is ideal for more formal
meals, whereas the lounge option is perfect for informal
get-togethers, cocktails, and quiet moments with a coffee
and a book. Introducing a layer of relaxed sophistication to
the setting, this lower height evokes the informal elegance
of the boutique-hotel lobby, cocktail lounge, or pool terrace.
Both sizes echo the design of their coffee-table counterparts,
with the same generously proportioned ceramic tabletop,
handcrafted from single-fired Italian stoneware, a material
prized for its hard-wearing nature and resistance to weather
and heat. The Carmel Bistro Tables are therefore not only
elegant but also robust, resilient, and made to stand the test
of time. Thanks to the ceramic’s distinctive composition,
every Carmel Bistro Table has a unique, handcrafted
expression – no two pieces are exactly alike.
The tabletops are finished with a smooth, high-gloss glaze,
hand-sprayed onto the surface while the ceramic is drying
and before it is fired, giving a rich, textured depth that
enhances its expressive materiality. The glossy surface of
the ceramic catches the light, showcasing the vivid luster
of the two colorways: a warm and earthy Rock Red and
a subtle, versatile Clam White, further enriched by the
shimmer of minerals applied to the surface and brought to
life in the furnace.
Elegant yet casual, the Carmel Bistro Tables transition
seamlessly between laid-back catch-ups and formal
gatherings, just as they can move easily between inside and
out. Equally at home on sunny patios or cozy dining nooks,
the tables bring a touch of carefree luxury to any occasion,
whether romantic dinners à deux or relaxed afternoon
coffees with friends.
