Designers Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen used 3D technology for injection molding, where only half as much plastic had to be used. At the same time, the chair retains all stability and seating comfort. This 3D chair, with its minimalist look, is therefore a successful example of modern and innovative Scandinavian design.
Gubi designs are characterized by relative simplicity, but always with innovative and surprising features. Moreover, at Gubi it is decided to use unique materials. Gubi was founded some fifty years ago by the Lisbeth and Gubi Olsen couple and has grown into a family business. The characteristic features of Gubi have remained over the years and can be found in the entire collection.
The Gubi 3D Chair by Komplot Design has a base made of black-stained beech. In addition, an undercarriage of oak or American walnut is also an option. The seat shell is possible in beech veneer or in Hirek, a plastic that is available in 8 beautiful colors. If you want a little more comfort, you can also have the seat fully or partially covered. The Gubi 3D chair has a seat height of 45 centimeters. The chair is 52 centimeters wide, 88 centimeters high and 53.5 centimeters deep.
