Design by designers duo Gamfratesi.
This variant of the Beetle chair is available with a polished aluminum base and strongly refers to the inspiring source of the design duo Gam-Fratesi; the insect world, more specifically the world of beetles. Not only the name indicates the inspiration, but also the characteristic elements of the beetles sections have been interpreted - shape, shells, sutures, stiff outside and soft inside.
The wide range of upholstery options and different bases make it possible to give your Beetle Chair a personal touch and create a unique piece that fits perfectly into your home.

The well-known Beetle chair is a unique result due to the collaboration between the Italian and a Danish designer: the designer duo Gamfratesi. The Gamfratesi duo consists of Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, and they took their inspiration for the well-known Beetle collection from the insect world. They researched the anatomy of insects, including the beetle, and based the design for the iconic Beetle chair on that.
For example, the chair has been given an organic shape with a sturdy hard shell (armor) and thin legs for an airy effect. Gam-fratesi's designs always have a traditional design with surprising modern aspects. This also applies to the Beetle chair. The dining room chair has an elegant appearance and is also very comfortable, with a backrest that moves well. A design chair that easily fits into everyone's interior. The Beetle chair combines effortlessly with modern and classic wooden dining tables, or tables made of steel, glass dining tables.
Introduced in 2012, the Beetle chair has been a great success in everyone's home ever since, and they are also very popular in restaurants and hotels. The Beetle chair comes in many different variants: for the base there is a choice of thin conical steel legs (in matte black, chrome-black, chrome, brass and antique brass), wooden legs, stackable legs or with a swivel base.
The seat shell is made of sturdy polypropylene and comes in various beautiful colors and materials. For example, the chair can also be covered with all kinds of fabrics and leathers from different manufacturers (including Gubi himself). If you choose to upholster the chair, the chair will also receive a so-called piping / piping of the same fabric or contrasting fabric or a piping of leather (cognac or black leather) around the entire shell.
