The chairs from About A Chair have been deliberately kept simple and simple and can therefore be easily and easily combined with other furniture. According to the ideas of designer Hee Welling, About A Chair chairs should feel just as at home in a restaurant or canteen as they do at your dining table. In light of this, the idea of simplicity became a guarantee of multi-functionality and combinability.

The About A Chair AAC 227 has armrests and a steel frame with four legs. The seat shell is made of sturdy plastic. The base and bowl are available in different versions.

About the designer:

Hee Welling is a Danish furniture designer who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. Welling has received a number of design awards, including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), Good Design Award (USA) and has been nominated as the Danish Designer of the Year in both 2013 and 2014.

Welling is the son of a furniture maker and his fascination with production techniques, materials and machines was laid off as a child. He then studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and obtained his master's degree in furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (where he is now also a design teacher).

His design ethos is centered around the idea of creating engineered products that can reach a wide audience. His work is characterized by a great sense of proportion and quiet elegant appearance. Welling designed the About A series and the Hee Chair, Lounge Chair and Bar Stool for HAY.
