Aldo Bakker's Cabinet is a beautiful example of contemporary craftsmanship, combined with elegance.
Central to the design is the contrast between the slim 1.5 cm thick top and the substantial 4.5 cm thick base. This deliberate combination creates a captivating and beautiful visual interplay, while ingeniously cutting out a 3cm space for the center piece.
The cabinet is made of spruce wood, known for its luminous quality and adapts to any space. Whether you will use it as a bedside table or as a standalone object, the design exceeds its function.

About the designer:
Aldo Bakker, born in 1971, is known for creating designs whose function is not always immediately clear, but require a little more observation. Instead of just being used, he wants his designs to evoke feelings; he often incorporates unusual and surprising, but at the same time vaguely familiar elements into his creations.
Many of Aldo Bakker's designs are unique pieces or made in small editions, but during his career he has also collaborated with Georg Jensen, Karakter and Swarovski, among others. Bakker's designs have been purchased by several museums in his native Netherlands and abroad: MoMA in New York, Center Pompidou in Paris, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
